Do I get a key?
Our cabins use smart locks — no physical keys to worry about picking up, carrying around, or accidentally leaving inside. You’ll receive a unique 4-digit access code before your stay that works for the duration of your visit.
Here’s how to get into your cabin:
- Confirm you’re at the right cabin. Our cabins are nestled in the woods, and they can look similar in the dark. Double-check the cabin name or number on your confirmation email before entering your code.
- Enter your 4-digit code on the keypad, then press the checkmark (✓) button to confirm. Wait for the lock to respond — you’ll hear it unlock.
- Give the door a firm push. Some of our cabin doors fit snugly in their frames, especially in humid or cold weather. If the lock has confirmed but the door doesn’t swing open easily, a good solid push will do the trick.
- Be careful with your code entry. If an incorrect code is entered too many times, the lock will freeze for 10 minutes as a security precaution. There’s no way to override this — you’ll simply need to wait the full 10 minutes and try again. Take your time and enter each digit carefully.
A few extra tips:
- Make sure your code is saved somewhere accessible — not just in your email inbox, in case you don’t have cell service.
- The keypad is backlit, but a flashlight can help if you’re arriving late.
- If you’re still having trouble after following these steps, give us a call at 902-514-6424 during phone hours (8:00 AM – 10:00 PM). If it’s after hours, sit tight, review the steps above, and wait out any lock freeze before trying again.
